Mara and Josh had to make many changes to their plans over the months and what they landed on was a beautifully intimate Michigan backyard wedding. They held it in Mara’s grandparents backyard. When I first got to the house, I “ooh”ed and “ahh”ed over Mara’s dress, first of all, and then all of her grandmother’s artwork that she’s collected over the years, including the gorgeous piano that she played for me. She explained a few art pieces to me and everything she owns is filled with stories and deep meaning. And it seems ljke that has transferred over to the heart of this family. The love between them is deep. Mara and Josh’s siblings held up the chuppah for the whole ceremony. Listening to the emotion-filled speeches made by their parents and grandparents made my heart swell at how strong a connection this family has. Mara and Josh, it was such a delight to be with you on your wedding day! I wish you joy and peace and only the best things in life in the years to come.
