Dawn + Carrington | Downtown Detroit Wedding at The Eastern, The DIA, and Motor City Hotel

Dawn and Carrington are one of the sweetest and most caring couples that I know. With their wedding being during a COVID-19 pandemic, they handled the changes to their day and precautions like pros. Their whole wedding party even quarantined for two weeks beforehand so that they could safely be together on their big day. You know I love some happy tears and they were all over the place. From Dawn’s mom while Dawn was getting ready, to Dawn and Carrington as they said their “I do”s, to me and her sister Danielle during bride and groom photos, to Carrington and his dad at the end of the night. It was an honor to see a couple so close to their families and friends.

The most beautiful part of the day was everyone’s glowing hearts for each other. The way that Dawn and Carrington look at each other makes my heart swell. The care between friends and family was tangible and moving. I feel honored to have witnessed such beautiful love. Dawn and Carrington, thank you for inviting me into your beautiful journey. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you!

They got ready at the Motor City Hotel, which is an amazing place for weddings! I was stunned at the unique details in the building.

Their first look was at the Detroit Institute of Art and it couldn’t have been more beautiful or more moving.
