Silvia + Jason | Ann Arbor Wedding | Island Park Ceremony | Webers Reception
Don’t even get me started with these two. I cried through so much of this beautiful couple’s ceremony, more on that later. Let’s start with the morning. Jason got ready at his friends’ house and Silvia got ready at their own house. They both had a quiet confidence in the morning. The kind when you’re such close friends, and there’s no worry, only joy and anticipation. When Silvia had a first look with her bridesmaids , her sweet dog, Wally, wanted to see too; he came, sat down and just stared up at his beloved with those googly eyes, lol.
Silvia and Jason had a first look at a park near their house and then we headed to their ceremony at Island Park. From the moment Silvia walked down the aisle, there were so many tears of joy. They shared vows and Jason read from a book they’ve passed back and forth throughout their relationship. ALL THE TEARS. One thing the officiant shared especially got me in the feels: he asked Jason what his favorite thing about Silvia was and Jason said it was getting to have breakfast with her every morning. Be still all of our hearts.
The reception was a blast, with exuberant speeches, songs written especially for Jason and Silvia, and Jason’s family rocking the night away with live music. At the end of the night they got to say hello to Silvia’s grandma in Japan, and then they danced the night away. This was such a special day, I feel so honored to have even been there. Silvia and Jason, thank you for letting me capture the beginning of your married life together! May your days be good and long upon the earth.
