We could not have asked for a more perfect day for Mohammed and Sumaiyah’s wedding. I met Sumaiyah for the first time at her ceremony, where I spotted her gold veil sparkling in the Miftaah Institute prayer room. What a sacred time of waiting for the ceremony to begin. And can we talk about her details? The gold-kissed veil and stunning henna paired with her sparkling jewelry and rose bouquet made her one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen. After guests filled the room, the officiant gave a moving teaching and there was so much celebration and love shared between Sumaiyah and her family. Then it was time for Mohemmed to lift Sumaiyah’s veil and exchange rings. They both looked so happy. We all moved to the institute’s banquet hall for a celebratory lunch after the ceremony. With their family and friends showering them with congratulations and hugs, it was plain to see how much this couple is loved.
