Lauren + Brandon | St. Isidore Church | Macomb, Mi

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. When Covid had other plans for Lauren and Brandon’s original wedding day last year, they took it like the royalty they are, honoring their family and friends by waiting until it was safe to celebrate. And we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate their love.

Lauren got ready at the Hampton Inn in Shelby Township and her crew couldn’t have been more sweet. Her cousin helped pin hair into place and there were lots of giggles with her mom and grandma. Her emerald green wedding theme is my dream. Her draping orchid bouquet was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and her stunning wedding dress fit Lauren’s classy personality perfectly. And can we talk about this long cathedral veil that kept blowing in the wind?

They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Isidore Church in Macomb, Mi with traditional Filipino wedding customs and blessings. Knowing that Lauren and Brandon have been married for a year made her walking down the aisle towards him that much more powerful. Choosing each other and knowing and loving each other more every day like they will the rest of their lives together. It felt like a real celebration of marriage and of their unique love and care for each other. It was truly beautiful.

After the ceremony, we stopped in the prayer garden, to capture the place they got married a year ago. Then we drove to Heritage Park, where the hoards of homecoming students made way for the glowing bride and groom. There weren’t a lot of places not covered in high schoolers, but Brandon spotted the perfect little cove of sunlit trees and flowers that made their photos feel like a peek into Rivendell. The reception at Piccirilli Ristorante was perfectly intimate. Brandon’s brother and Lauren’s cousins gave heart-warming toasts and they danced as husband and wife in the midst of the people they care about most. It was an honor to witness the love this family had for each other. Lauren and Brandon, you know how much I adore you. It was an honor to capture your deep love for each other and for your family. “May your days be good and long upon this earth.”
