Chris + Charlotte | Ann Arbor Michigan Elopement at Nichols Arboretum

What a beautiful surprise elopement. Chris and Charlotte had a larger wedding planned for this year, but like many others, they chose to downsize, because 2020. And like many others, they embraced the downsize with grace and joy. They biked from to the Ann Arbor Nichols Arboretum together with backpacks in hand, and together we scoped out a place for them to make their forever official. We found a beautiful cove surrounded by wild flowers and trees. Just add a tie and bouquet and boom! Bride and groom. There were only five people in attendance, including me! I always feel honored to hear a couples vows to each other, but especially so for this wedding. Their vows revealed their relationship’s depth, vulnerability, commitment, deep friendship, and hope for the future. These two kind hearts made me fall in love with small weddings; from the sacred moments of promising their lives to each other to the adventure time afterwards. Chris and Charlotte, I had so much fun exploring with you! Thank you for the honor of witnessing your beautiful hearts and the beginning of your life as husband and wife.
